Extra Funding for Bundoora Primary School Upgrade
This time last year I stood on the basketball court at Bundoora Primary School and announced $3.5 million for the first stage of the project to upgrade the facilities at the school. This year, I returned to announce a further $2.7 million that has been allocated by the Victorian Government to complete the rest of the project.
A total of $6.2 million has been allocated to the school to provide much needed upgrades to the facilities and infrastructure at the school. This means that when the project is completed, the students will be able to enjoy new multipurpose classrooms designed for 21st century learning as well as dedicated spaces for music. The additional funds will also help construct a new multipurpose administration area.
As you can see, construction has already started – the basketball court where I stood last year is gone and will become the new music spaces very soon! I can’t wait to see the project when it is finished. It’s not just me who can’t wait, but students Omar and Lola, Principal Lee Pollard and Assistant principal Julie Dunn are also excited!
