Good News for Diamond Valley Community Support!
During the storm event in Melbourne on the 29th December last year, Diamond Valley Community Support (DVCS) had their opportunity shop in Macleod flooded.
DVCS is a fantastic local not-for-profit organisation providing support, information and referral to people in need. Run by volunteers, DVCS has been providing services to the community since 1972.
The op shop operated by DVCS provides them with much needed cash-flow to support their operations. That’s why it was exciting to see some good news in the form of a letter from the Premier advising that the state government has approved an $11,000 grant to cover their lost income from the op shop during this period.
If you get a chance, check out their op shop at 44 Aberdeen Road, Macleod! DVCS also runs the Kingsbury Drive Commmunity Market which is held every Sunday between 9.00am and 1.00pm. For more info head to www.dvsupport.org.au
